Meet Charlotte

I'm Charlotte Howard, founder of HER ERA, and I believe women of color deserve a space where they feel seen, heard, and supported through every chapter of midlife.

My journey hasn't been perfect, but it has been purposeful. I've survived two divorces, rebuilt my life after Hurricane Katrina, raised two incredible children, built a career spanning more than two decades in corporate America, and discovered that every challenge has prepared me for this next chapter.

I learned that every challenge has shaped the woman I am today. Like many women, I spent years showing up for everyone else, building a career, supporting executives, caring for family, and checking every box society expected me to check.

Then midlife arrived.

Menopause didn't just change my body. It changed the way I saw myself and the way I saw the world around me.

I realized that so many of the conversations, resources, and communities available did not reflect the experiences of women of color. We were expected to keep going, keep producing, and keep pushing through, often without feeling seen or supported.

So I created what I could not find.

I decided we deserved better.

I did not just want answers for myself. I wanted to build a sanctuary for us.

That meant investing in the knowledge, education, and tools to create something women could trust. I pursued certifications in menopause coaching, sleep coaching, relationship coaching, career development, and artificial intelligence because I wanted HER ERA to be built on more than good intentions.

I wanted it to be grounded in education, credibility, and genuine care for the women I serve.

HER ERA is more than a lifestyle brand. It is a space where women of color can have honest conversations about menopause, wellness, relationships, career reinvention, financial wellness, and every chapter that comes after.

I believe our best years are not behind us. They are built through every lesson, every setback, every victory, and every decision to keep moving forward.

Our growth does not have a deadline, and turning 50 is not the finish line. It is the beginning of a new chapter.
